as all kinds of sins disappeared and the good deeds flourished, as the accomplished ones were firm in penances, as all subjects of the stages (Ashramas - brahmacharya (student), gArhastya (householder), vAnaprastha (retired) and sanyAsa (renounced)) were protected everywhere,

as the dharma was fixed on all the four legs (penance, cleanliness, kindness and truth) and as all the three legs of adharma are severed (only one leg remaining), as the kings excelled in protecting their subjects,

as all those belonging to the four stages were doing their duty, all the demons anointed bali as the king of the sons of diti.
